Cape Town Padel Retreats is a South African company that organises week-long padel tennis retreats in Cape Town, South Africa. We are the responsible party for personal information we collect, in terms of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

If you are located in the United Kingdom or the European Union, we also process your personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and EU GDPR respectively, where those laws apply to you.

When you enquire about or book a retreat, we may collect:

• Your preferred retreat date

• Your playing level

5. How we store your information

Enquiries sent to our WhatsApp number and email address are stored in those respective platforms. We do not currently use a CRM or third-party database to store personal information beyond what is held in WhatsApp and email.

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorised access, loss or misuse. No method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We will retain your personal information for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, and for as long as required by law.

6. Who we share your information with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share it with:

• Court venues and activity providers, to the extent necessary to arrange your retreat
• Our driver or transport provider, to coordinate transfers during the retreat
• Google and Meta, through the tools described in section 4
• Any person to whom you have asked us to transfer your booking, to the extent necessary to complete that transfer

We will not share your information with any other third party without your consent, unless required to do so by law.

7. Your rights

Under POPIA (South Africa)

You have the right to:

• Know what personal information we hold about you
• Request a correction of inaccurate information
• Request the deletion of your information, subject to our legal obligations
• Object to the processing of your information

Under UK GDPR and EU GDPR (if applicable)

If you are in the UK or EU, you also have the right to:

• Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Have inaccurate data corrected
• Have your data erased in certain circumstances
• Restrict or object to processing in certain circumstances
• Data portability in certain circumstances

Our retreats are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18.

10. Links to other websites

Our site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and recommend you read their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
