Cape Town Padel Retreats is a South African company that organises week-long padel tennis retreats in Cape Town, South Africa. These terms and conditions govern every booking made with us. By paying a deposit or any other amount toward a retreat, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these terms on behalf of yourself and any person whose booking you manage.
Each retreat runs for seven nights, Sunday to Sunday. The programme includes padel sessions totalling twenty-two hours on court across seven sessions, six included experiences, all ground transport during the retreat, and accommodation at a villa in Cape Town. Full details of what is included and excluded are set out in section 5 below.
We accommodate a maximum of sixteen guests per retreat, split into two level-matched groups of eight.
All bookings are made by enquiry. No booking is confirmed until we have spoken with you and you have paid the deposit set out below.

All prices are in US dollars. We are not registered for VAT.
Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit is received. We reserve the right to release your place if payment is not received within five business days of booking confirmation.
We reserve the right to adjust prices on unconfirmed bookings where significant and unforeseen changes in exchange rates or costs require it. We will notify you before any adjustment is applied.
We strongly encourage you to transfer your place rather than cancel. See section 4.3 below.
If you choose to cancel your booking, the following applies:

If we cancel a retreat for any reason within our control, or because we have not reached our minimum group size, you will receive a full refund of everything you have paid, or a transfer to another available date at no additional administration fee. The choice is yours.
We are not liable for any costs you have incurred outside of payments made directly to us, including but not limited to flights, travel insurance, visa fees, or accommodation booked independently.

You may transfer your place to another person up to 14 days before departure for a $150 administration fee. The replacement guest must accept these terms in full before the transfer is confirmed. The transferred booking carries the same departure date and room type as the original.
Travel insurance is mandatory for all guests. You must hold a policy that covers at minimum: medical expenses and emergency evacuation, trip cancellation and curtailment, and personal liability. We reserve the right to ask for evidence of cover before departure. We accept no liability for any loss, injury, illness or expense that adequate travel insurance would have covered.
Five of the seven court venues are confirmed in advance and will be communicated to you before departure. We reserve the right to substitute any venue with a venue of equivalent or higher standard. Two sessions are selected closer to your departure date to allow us to book the best courts available at that time. You will be informed of the venue the evening before each session. The total number of sessions and total hours on court will not be reduced as a result of any venue change.
Padel is a physically demanding sport. By booking with us you confirm that you are in good health and physically capable of participating. If you have any medical condition or injury that may affect your ability to participate, you must disclose this to us before booking.
We reserve the right to advise a guest against participating in any activity if we reasonably believe it poses a risk to their health or safety or the safety of other guests. No refund will be given in these circumstances.
Participation in all activities, including the Lion's Head sunrise hike and all off-court experiences, is entirely voluntary. Nothing is compulsory.
To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, Cape Town Padel Retreats is not liable for:
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our own negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
We reserve the right to remove any guest from the retreat whose behaviour is deemed by us to be disruptive, dangerous, offensive or otherwise incompatible with the enjoyment of other guests. No refund will be given in these circumstances.
During the retreat, photographs and videos may be taken for use in our marketing materials and on our social media channels. If you do not wish to appear in any such material, please notify us in writing before departure at [email protected]. We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate your request.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. The version in force at the time of your booking confirmation is the version that applies to your booking.
